She´s in her right element again!

Our short term plans:
As soon as our outboard is repaired we will leave for Nassau where we shall meet a friend from Copenhagen. He will spend some weeks with us, sailing to Cuba.

Back on Her Majesty P. Henrik

After short stopover in New York, where we spent lillejuleaften together with a friend, we arrived on Christmas eve in deep darkness on the boatyard where she stood on land. The two fragile solar panels had survived the trip in the baggage of the aeroplanes which brought us to the Abacos / Bahamas.

The first 4 days we had to live aboard the boat standing on land. She resembled a working site, leaving little space for us to sleep below deck. Luckily Rainer noticed a crack in the forefinn of the rudder, a damage we must have had since we hit the shore back in Spain in December 2006. Before leaving the boat here in spring this year, we had noticed that the rudder had some backlash. Now we hope to have found a temporary solution for that problem.
